Later, both Junagarh and Hyderabad joined any of the two states. The ruler of J&K was a Hindu and had around 85% Muslim population in his state. He resolute to join India. Pakistan did not accept the decision and a war broke out between Indian and Pakistan for possession of Kashmere region. This cold war still persists and has led to rivalry among the two nations.

After the separation of Pakistan from India; it was difficult to establish itself as one strong nation. Today Pakistan stands as the second largest Muslim country in the world and heading towards growth.
